What to look for

Choose clearly marked spoons and stable cups. US cups and metric cups differ, so use the system specified in the recipe.

How to use it

  1. Level dry spoon measures unless the recipe says heaped.

  2. Read a liquid jug on a level surface at eye height.

  3. Do not treat a cup of every ingredient as the same weight.

Make it last

Wash and dry before measuring ingredients that clump. Replace sets with unreadable markings.

Before you buyA digital scale is more repeatable for flour and other compressible ingredients; cups remain useful for volume.
